Sandy Ogg's philosphy for big changes

In a side comment during his presentation to the IAOP Global Outsourcing conference in February 2011, Sandy Ogg (former Chief HR officer of Unilever) offered the following advice for approaching major change initiatives:

  • Think Big
  • Start Small
  • Move Fast

Ogg contrasted this with the approach that many large change initiatives take and which he warns against:

  • Think Big
  • Start Big
  • You will move slow - if at all
